The Story

The story told in this monument begins on the front with the bronze cross, marriage date, and their three children’s names. The large bronze cross takes center stage and is a great indication that their Christian faith played, and continues to play, a central role in their lives.

Jacquellyn’s maiden name is inscribed under her given name to give all of us genealogists a clue as to her family heritage.

Their marriage date and children’s names finish off the front by providing a little more insight into their love for each other and their children.

The story continues with a poignant verse from Psalm 139, verse 16.

“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day passed.”

You know that this was a couple that valued their Christian faith and family and that they still have loved ones who care deeply about them.

The Stone

The stone is a 3ft 6in wide, 8in thick, 2ft 4in tall piece of quartzite from the Jasper Quarry in Jasper, Minnesota.

It is accompanied on either side by two 1ft 2in quartzite vases.

All three pieces are set on a 7ft 6in quartzite base.

Every piece has a natural finish which gives this monument a unique character.
